I know some of you are anxious to find out my decision on the Amsterdam situation, but my brother unloaded the biggest bomb on my parents today. At the age of 14, he officially got his girlfriend, who is also 14, pregnant. Yeah that's right...pregnant.
Keep in mind, my parents so overreacted when I broke up with the most popular guy in school. So, I thought they were going to go nuclear after finding this out. Unfortunately, that is what I get for thinking.
Sure, they were a bit disappointed, but they are already devising a plan to keep him out of it. Meaning, they will pay for their share of the medical bills. Other than that, the girl is left with the responsibility. I hate guys like that. Some acknowledge their share in the mistake but refuse to take part in the solution. Trust me. My brother is not fighting my parents on this issue and he's not the type to keep quiet.

oh gosh. at age 14? I'm 20 and I don't want kids. I had a friend in freshman year get pregnant at age 14. she kept the baby, but the guy did nothing to help her. It was a shame. I couldn't imagine getting pregnant at that age, though.

Thanks for the well wishes!
And Pirates 3 was actually really good! Better than 2, which I really didn't like.
P.S. I think you're brothers a punk! Seriously. Sorry, but he is. It takes TWO to do it.

Your brother is just scared. He's only 14. I think that it's your responsibility to tell him what you think he should do.

WOW I'm 30 and it's hard taking care of my 5mth old son. I couldn't imagine doing it at the age of 14. Plus, my parents would have totally kicked my butt.

@#$% Sorry, but that's a pretty horrible plan. Maybe as time goes on, they'll soften up a bit. I don't mean anything as drastic as a shotgun wedding, but to have no part at all? Forget about your brother for a moment, but think about the girl. She must be freaking out at having to carry a living thing inside her uterus for months, pushing it out of her vagina and then having to take care of it for the rest of her life. It'd help if the "accomplice" was there, even to accompany her to the doctor's once in a while or something.

Please forgive me if I offend you in some way, but PLEASE kick your parents and brother for ever considering that plan.
I am a single mother. I've got a 2 year old daughter that I've been raising on my own. Granted, atleast they're willing to chip in on doctor bills. I got NOTHING. He will lose out on a child that will need him someday. Most of all, if he's old enough to knock that girl up, he's old enough to learn to share responsibility. I hope this girl goes after him for child support.
I am really sorry if I was offensive in some way. It's a sensitive subject with me due to personal experiances.

So Im not going to tell you to bitch at your brother because I dont see that helping alot. Maybe someone should talk to her about considering adoption. At 14 you simply aren't ready to be a parent, I understand some people do and end up being great parents but they are the exception. I think adoption should be seriously considered if not only for the baby's sake but also for your brother and his girlfriends futures.
